As Lady Gaga released her latest record “Born This Way The Tenth Anniversary” on June 25th, British singer Olly Alexander from Years and Years joins the tracklist with his cover of “The Edge of Glory”. His re-envisioning of the track is glamorous, with a heavy, glimmering synth backtrack that compliments Olly’s crystalline, soprano voice. The cover does absolute justice with a bassier mix and refreshing, passionate vocals in comparison to the original Lady Gaga song. Unfortunately, no sax solo near the 3-minute mark like in the original track. Small price to pay for a masterful cover.
