On Friday July 8th, the extreme metal and hardcore band The Machinist from Queens, NY headlined a killer show for their latest album release for All Is Not Well at a venue in Brooklyn, NY known as The Meadows.

I arrived at the venue almost 40 minutes after the doors opened, and the line outside was still growing. The floor was already packed as people were eagerly awaiting at the barricade. Everyone wanted a spot, and they were running out. The opener, Kitty Cash, had an amazing set. Everyone in the audience was getting pumped; the anticipation was building. The crowd started chanting when the lights went out. “Thundercat! Thundercat! Thundercat!” These were some die-hard fans, and it was great to experience such a community for the night. Pure adoration was written all over the crowd’s faces. Thundercat's passion while playing bass on stage in a room full of people who love and admire him is something rare and beautiful that everyone needs to experience live. Despite the sun being down, the infamous Arizona heat made its appearance at The Wrecks’ show at The Nile in Mesa, AZ, on July 21st. Fans partied the night away, packed into the venue, ignoring the heat and humidity. Thankfully the band had taken precautious measures, and six-hundred water bottles were distributed throughout the night. Mothe and Girlhouse got the crowd warmed up with incredible sets before The Wrecks took the stage.

On Sunday, July 17th, Grayscale stopped at The Nile in Mesa, AZ, on The Summer Dream Tour with support from The Ivy, Bearings, and Guardin. With it being monsoon season here in Arizona, the skies go from clear to dark and cloudy in a matter of minutes, so it was no surprise that the night Grayscale came to town, there would be a storm, especially with all of their songs about rain. It was practically a rain dance waiting to happen.

On Saturday, June 25th, I had the pleasure of attending Music of Curiosities Coney Island Presents "QVEEN OF ATLANTIS MUSIC FESTIVAL" in Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY at this amazing place known as Freak Bar. The venue of choice is a staple for the neighborhood and is famously known for its very own Circus Sideshow By The Seashore. For this special event, some very dear and close friends of mine both hosted and starred in the show.

Pennsylvanian hard rockers Crobot celebrated the release of their fifth album, Feel This, at the Mercury Lounge in New York City on June 2nd, 2022. The explosive set began with frontman Brandon Yeagley launching himself out of an Audrey II-esque plant as the band kicked off the night with the first track on the record, “Electrified”. The air in the room certainly felt electric from the first second, the raucous performance resting only for a booming voice telling a story of fantasy and heroics. Midway through the show, Yeagley stunned the crowd by yanking his mighty sword from a stone, a la King Arthur, ready to slay any unwanted beings that might cross his path. While launching Feel This, Crobot also mixed in some older favorites, to the delight of the crowd. The set was powerful and cohesive, the band was in great spirits, and the number of mic tricks? 37.

On Friday, May 27th, 2022 the progressive indie, metal, rock band from Texas known as Nothing More headlined a show at the Wellmont Theater in NJ alongside Atreyu and Ava Under Fire without their other touring mates of Asking Alexandria.

The lights were bright, the heat was intense, and the music was loud. It was the perfect start to the night as Juniper took the stage at Mercury Lounge in New York City for the second time ever.

Royal & The Serpent made a stop in Phoenix, AZ on this past Monday, March 7th in support of Grandson on Death Of A Tour. It was a high-energy night full of good music and fun antics.

Thursday night, independent deathcore metal band Shadow of Intent took to the stage at 7:30 pm at the Brooklyn Steel in NYC following the same-day release of their latest animated music video for “Blood in the Sands of Time” off their new album Elegy. This latest album was released on January 14th, 2022 making it the follow-up album to their last, Melancholy released back in 2019.

On Saturday, February 12th, Fit For An Autopsy headlined the final show of their latest US album tour at Gramercy Theater in NYC to celebrate their latest album release “Oh What the Future Holds”. This deathcore band played to a nearly sold-out venue full of metalheads who enjoyed the night in the best way possible, opening an insane pit and letting loose.

On the night of Friday, February 4th, the band Afterus opened up a show at Lucky 13 Saloon in Brooklyn, NY. This local NYC band has a sound all their own, they perfectly mesh together extreme metal, folk metal, industrial metal, metal, modern metal, and melodic death metal making them stand out from the rest. Recently, they had released their music video for their single Obsidian Moon giving us just a small taste of what's to come from them in the future.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Jeff Rosenstock came back to his former hometown of Brooklyn, NY to perform three nights of music at Warsaw, in a quiet corner of Greenpoint. He was touring in support of his latest album No Dream, playing shows that had been delayed thanks to the ongoing pandemic. Asking fans to remain masked at all venues, Jeff and co. set off to hit the stage all across the country before landing in NYC for the long weekend. Starting off on Black Friday was Ska Dream, where Rosenstock channeled his former ska bands and gave the crowd a night filled with brass tones and dancing. Nights two and three consisted of the No Dream shows that had been taking over the US and parts of Canada.

On December 30th and 31st, EDM fans rang in the New Year at Decadence Arizona. It was definitely a party with fans traveling from all over the state and even the country to attend the event. The line-up featured some of the most prominent names in EDM, such as Excision, Marshmello, and Dillon Francis, who ushered partygoers into 2022.

Back on Friday, December 3rd, Waterparks made a stop in Phoenix, AZ on the A Night Out On Earth Tour with support from Phem. It was a night full of great music, dancing, and some fun shenanigans.

On Friday, December 10th, Juice sold out Irving Plaza in their hometown and they proved just why they are immensely popular. For those who don’t know, this group is a seven-piece band from Brooklyn, NY that blends the sounds of rock, pop, r&b, and hip-hop. They began embracing the diversity of their signature sound early on when they formed in Boston while attending college.

It’s a chilly night in Tennessee as the Starset messengers line the sidewalk outside the Brooklyn Bowl. The time is 6 pm on December 8th and the countdown to the Nashville demonstration has begun. Once inside, anxious concert goers explore the unique venue in search of the perfect spot to enjoy the show.

M.A.G.S. aka Marijuana And Good Sex or Elliot Douglas is an LA-based artist from Buffalo, NY. On December 1, 2021, the talented multi-instrumentalist made a stop in Phoenix, AZ while supporting The Happy Fits. Douglas released his debut album titled Say Things That Matter this August. Performing fan favorites such as “Lt. Headed” and “Drugs”, Douglas had fans singing along and dancing throughout his entire set. Don’t miss him next time he is in your city!

On November 18, 2021, EDM artist, San Holo stopped in Phoenix, AZ on the bb u okay? tour with support from Kasbo, Chet Porter, and Rome in Silver.

On Monday, November 8th, ROLE MODEL who is also known as Tucker Pillsbury made a stop in Phoenix, AZ. After being upgraded to a larger venue from a small club this was the largest Tourever 2021 show and the fans definitely made it known.
