The San Francisco indie pop duo corner club have announced their self produced EP in the rearview mirror, which is set for release on October 6th and can be pre-ordered here. Alongside the announcement, they shared a taste of the EP through the single “whenever you’re ready” with a DIY video.

One thing that the East Coast is known for, is its thriving local music scene. Every now and then a new band would emerge and instantly cement their spot in their local scene and that’s exactly what Sewn Away did. On August 4th, the NY/NJ hybrid newcomers released their debut single “You Wouldn’t Understand” along with a music video that premiered via BVTV and has already gathered over 15k views.

OTTTO, the Venice Beach-based band who combines thrash metal with funk have just released a music video for the track “Skyscraper” off their debut album Life Is A Game. One of ten songs on the album, “Skyscraper” is hard and groovy and is indicative of the unique approach to metal that OTTTO brings.

Cassetta is a new project based out of Los Angeles. They have recently released “Thin Blue Crime”, a track that has influences from the heaviest, darkest places to create a pummeling wall of sound. Kevin Fifield produced the song and was mixed by Jeff Dunne (Make Them Suffer, Veil Of Maya, Motionless In White, etc.). The music video is out now and was directed by Brad Alexander.

Los Angeles Rock duo Loveless composed of vocalist/producer Julian Comeau and multi-instrumentalist Dylan Tirapelli-Jamail, share “Drag Me Down” via BMG/Rise Records. This song is the next track after their last single release “I Hope I’m Not Sick” which never fails to impress the fans and even for myself I continue to listen to their discography daily.

The New Jersey pop punk band Sucker Punch have released “Worst Case Ontario”, the lead single from their upcoming four track EP Better Pleasures, which will be released this fall. The track kicks off with a bang that never lets up, combining elements of Neck Deep and The Story So Far with an easycore edge pioneered by scene mainstays like A Day To Remember. The lyrics have the theme of betrayal with an anthemic refrain “This small town will never be the same / Devil’s Kettle will become my grave.” With an energetic rhythm section and passionate vocal-guitar interlock, the track was designed for mosh pits and crowd sing-alongs. The music video was directed by Eric DiCarlo (Lorna Shore, Chelsea Grin, Veil of Maya) and shows the band trying to escape a monstrous mess after consuming a mysterious beverage.

The deathgrind legends Cattle Decapitation have announced their upcoming North American headlining tour, Terrasitic Infestation. The tour is in support of their tenth studio album Terrasite. Immolation, Sanguisugabogg, and Castrator will be joining them in support. The tour will make its way to over two dozen cities, starting on November 10th in Santa Ana, California and ending on December 16th in the band’s home turf of San Diego, California. Periphery, who recently announced their first U.S. headlining tour in support of Periphery V: Djent Is Not A Genre, have expanded their limited live outings to Europe, performing their first shows on the continent since 2019 in what is dubbed “The Wildfire European Tour.”

Santa Fe death metal practitioners STREET TOMBS have released their new music video for “Diseased Existence.” The track comes by their debut full length, Reclusive Decay, released earlier this year via Carbonized Records. Forged in the flames of a legendary underground venue, The Cave, in 2017 where they hosted numerous shows for punk/metal community of Santa Fe and the surrounding cities, the STREET TOMBS collective has released three demos since 2018. Combining the metal grit of early Sepultura and Bolt Thrower with the rapid d-beat/ street punk of Discharge and G.B.H, Reclusive Decay presents an unfilled vision for all that is dark, heavy, and fast. As Death and disease rage through our world, STREET TOMBS rips the abyss of suffering.

Gordon seems to have always had a drive to give voices to those who needed it, whether it be unfurling two 17-foot banners on top of the roof of Tower Records that read ‘SAVE YOUR RECORD STORES!’ to creating Music Gives to St. Jude Kids.

The Massachusetts based multi-genre metal outfit Devitalized have teamed up with Tom Barber of Chelsea Grin to release one of the hardest deathcore collaborations of the year through the single “Godslayer”. It is a relentless Elden Ring-inspired track that combines deathcore, slam, and hardcore to showcase the raw talent in the young band. Barber brings just as much energy to the single as he would his own music, making the song absolutely brutal. Devitalized opened for Chelsea Grin at the Worcester date on the Suffer In Heaven//Suffer In Hell Tour, making it only a matter of time before the two bands crossed paths again to create something incredible.

New York City based bassist, composer, and educator Hannah Marks has announced her debut album Outsider, Outlier, which will be released October 20th via Out Of Your Head Records and can be pre-ordered here. To celebrate the announcement, she released the cathartic title track of the album with a self directed music video. The track sees her finding power and beauty in her own company.

With the recent release of their second studio album, the tech deathcore group Crown Magnetar are here to show why they deserve the hype. Their sophomore album, Everything Bleeds proves that deathcore is alive and well in the veins of the metal community. Brutal drop cords and chugs of the guitar as well as fast shift from gutural to high screams, Crown Magnetar is a breath of fresh air for the metal community. Nail Funeral is an intense single from the album with lyrics like ‘An eon of heathens traverse a burning kingdom, Filled with despise and neglect, My arteries intersect, With a blade crafted from the nails of penance.’ lyrics that are not only brutal heard within the song but also just as brutal when being read.

Milk St. is self proclaimed ‘emo three-piece’ that originally made their start under the name Spaced in 2018 but after a few years changed it to what is now Milk St. Peyote is the band's first single off of their upcoming EP Vermont and is set to release in early September. Peyote is the self realization that sometimes there is no escape to the normal hum of life and the genes that are passed down to you.
