On November 16, Undeniable rock chanteuse DIAMANTE released her latest single and music video for "Unlovable", taken from her sophomore album American Dream (out via Anti-Heroine, DIAMANTE's self-established independent record label). She has previously shared smash hits such as fan-favorites "Ghost Myself" and "Serves You Right", the beautiful reimagination of Goo Goo Dolls classic "Iris" (featuring Breaking Benjamin), and most recently "I Love Myself For Hating You”.

For the last seventeen years, Sheffield, England-based group Rolo Tomassi has become one of the most creative bands in metal. They took metalcore and introduced elements from shoegaze and dream pop to create a fresh style of progressive rock songs that one moment sound beautiful and lush and then the next turn chaotic and intense. This level of technical skill and musical innovation not only has led Rolo Tomassi to be successful recording artists (their last album alone had 7 million streams on Spotify), but as live performers as well. On October 28th, Seattle “junk-punk” duo Kitty Junk released their debut album, Converse Theory, becoming the pioneers of the junk-punk/junk-rock subgenres. Hard-rock and grunge inspired, fueled by feminism and glam, Kitty Junk’s sound is unique and full of grit. The duo of Angela Dane and Ryan Lee are taking the punk rock scene by storm.

Los Angeles-based metalcore band Bad Omens has announced that their new album The Death of Peace of Mind will be released on Friday, February 25th, 2022. The album released via Sumerian Records will be the band’s third release. The experience of working on the new album was liberating for lead vocalist Noah Sebastian. 

On November 5th, the band elbow released their new single, “Flying Dream 1”, off of their studio album of the same name.

On October 13th, Northern Vancouver deathcore sextet, AngelMaker released the official music video for the brand new track "Vengeance". The new song and video highlight the release of the band's second 2-track EP Twilight, featuring "Vengeance" and B-side track, "The Great Grey Flame".

On October 26th, Gus Dapperton made a stop in Phoenix, AZ on the Orca Tour in support of his most recent album, Orca released back on September 18th, 2020. It was a night full of fun and dancing as Dapperton always puts on a great show.

If the words “tie-dyed” suggest images of burnt-out hippies prancing around in a field, then you’ll be in for a rude awakening when you see the latest designs from streetwear brand Shibori Threads. Kyle Anderson and Leo Valeri of the deathcore group Brand of Sacrifice own the company. The duo has taken the tie-dyed shirt away from the confines of the stereotypical hippy aesthetic and introduced it to the metal scene. In a world in which the black shirt reigns supreme, Shibori Threads seeks to add diversity to the fashion options of metalheads.

On October 20th, hardcore and rock n roll infused San Diego band Doc Hammer released a new music video for their single “Firewalk” off their new five-song EP “Final Form” showing they’re back better than ever.

Hearing your favorite song live, after months of playing it on repeat in your everyday life, is a surreal experience. It almost didn’t even happen, but let’s start from the beginning. The crowd for this show was more ready and excited than I’ve ever seen a crowd be for a band that hadn’t even stepped on stage yet.

On October 22nd, Michigan modern-rock group Flowers on the Grave released a new single, “Icarian”, accompanied by a music video. 

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States early in 2020, live music as we knew and loved it abruptly came to an end. For many musicians, the show played on in the form of live streams across the internet, whether they were digital events in collaboration with production companies, songs performed over Zoom calls with ticket proceeds going to charity, or simply the artist logging into Facebook or Instagram and pressing the "go live" button. AJJ frontman Sean Bonnette chose the last option, using the band's Instagram account as a way to connect with fans and sing songs from the comfort of his home - 225 times. Bonnette hopped onto the platform to perform not only original AJJ music, but covers of his favorite artists as well, often trolling the virtual crowd with Roger Miller's famed Robin Hood track, Oo-De-Lally. Many friendships were formed through these shows, with regulars attending night after night, chatting with other fans they've come to recognize and bond with. After vaccines had been rolled out for a while and it was deemed safe to tour, the streams ended, and the band hit the road to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their fourth album, Knife Man.

Estonia Post-Punk Rock Group, The Boondocks, released their latest record Soup Can Pop Band on September 27th, marking the fourth record in their discography. Soup Can Pop Band was released with 11 songs and one music video for “Whatever You Said Went Over My Head”. As with every record up to this point, the quartet released a unique batch of tracks that define “The Boondocks” image and sound.

Fans of RPGs and heavy metal will be excited to know that Iron Maiden has announced a new collaboration regarding their hit game, Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast. Previous collaborations with Amon Amarth and Lacuna Coil were well received by fans. Now the Swedish rockers Ghost will be joining this impressive collection of bands who are part of Iron Maiden’s gaming universe.

On the night of Saturday, October 23rd, hardcore metal band Bodysnatcher hailing in from Florida headlined the Broken Land Festival in Brooklyn, NY at The Monarch.

British rock band IDLES came to NYC for two sold-out nights at Terminal 5. They have been on a lengthy tour around the US with Brooklynites Gustaf as support, and both bands captured the crowd with a fierce focus and energy.

On October 15th, elbow released another track from their upcoming album Flying Dream 1 which you can pre-order here. The track, “Six Words”, is also accompanied by a film of the creation of the song. 

On October 15th, Belgian musician and producer Stromae released a new single, “Santé”, with Darkroom and Interscope Records. The song is paired with a music video co-directed by Jaroslav Moravec and Luc Van Haver. “Santé” is Stromae’s first new single since 2018, and it surpasses expectations.
