Frankie and the Witch Fingers Announce New Album ‘Data Doom’

Over the past decade, Frankie and the Witch Fingers have operated as an outright force of nature, offering up a revelatory form of psych-rock that hits on both a primal and ecstatically mind-bending level. In the making of their new album Data Doom, the Los Angeles-based four-piece forged a sublimely galvanizing sound informed by their love of Afrobeat and proto-punk—a potent vessel for their frenetic meditations on technological change run rampant, encroaching fascism, and corrosive systems of power. Animated by the explosive energy they’ve brought to the stage in sharing bills with such eclectic acts as Ty Segall and ZZ Top, the result is a major leap forward for one of the most adventurous and forward-thinking bands working today.

Rock Trio ON, Releases Single “Make Me”

Formed in Toronto and now with one foot in NYC, indie rock power trio ON presents their new single 'Make Me', a song of frustration and wanting to recapture that euphoria. This is a cry for what once was... and then resolution and a peaceful acceptance of what is. The trio carries on the legacy of the band from which they were formed - 90's Sire Records artist ACID TEST. Led by Lucy Di Santo (bass, vocals) with drummer Dan Cornelius on drums and guitarist Steve Fall, its members have also been in other popular Toronto bands Danko Jones and Deliuss. Dishing out infectious guitar riffs with a dash of groove, their adrenaline-laden music is invigorating, the band paying homage to their post-punk, grunge, old-school funk and 90s college rock roots.

MisterWives Release New Track off Upcoming Album, ‘Ultraviolet’

A few weeks away from the release of their 4th studio album, MisterWives are marking their growth in the industry with leaps and bounds of changes for their sound. Ultraviolet is a melody that encapsulates the new age that social media created for the world going forward, an ‘information tidal wave’ as lead singer, Mandy Lee, croons at the start of Ultraviolet. Along with the release of the single, the music video that partners the song shows Mandy in a field on a mountain with arrows jutting out of her back. Possibly the arrows are a metaphor for the eyes that come with social media and how easily loving eyes of fans can turn into daggers with a flip of the metaphorical switch.
