Alien Gothic is a Colorado-based upcoming band made up of Ryan Policky of A Shoreline Dream and Andy Uhrmacher of Genessier. They have recently released their debut single “In The Night”, stretching cosmic goth music to a whole realm. The single can be described as otherworldly and smoldering at the surface. It tells a tale of unknown lifeforms, bringing sound to places they have never explored before. This music is inspired by the beauty of the world around them, while also being pulled into the darkness from where they have come from. “In The Night” is just a preview of what's to come from their upcoming album, High and Dry, which will be released via Latenight Weekend Records on August 18th.

Periphery, who recently announced the first pair of headlining dates in support of their album, Periphery V: Djent Is Not a Genre (Nov. 4 at House of Blues in Anaheim, Calif. and Nov. 18 at The Palladium in Worcester, Mass), have expanded the outing, adding several performances and dubbing the trek “The Wildfire Tour.”

In This Moment and Ice Nine Kills announce the Kiss of Death US Tour, a night of sonic sorcery and hellacious horror. Later this year, the two bands will hold a joint tour that includes spectacular and highly acclaimed live performances in 17 cities across the country, commencing November 3rd in Gary, IN and ending December 2nd in Wheeling, WV. Japanese band SiM has attracted a devoted following to their unique blending of heavy metal, punk rock, and reggae. Fans of the genre-busting group will be delighted to know that SiM will be dropping a new album on September 27th via UNFD. The album, titled, Playdead features their latest single, “Red.” The song finds the band taking a nu-metal approach to their sound.

Psychedelic punk band Frankie and the Witch Fingers have dropped a new music video for the song “Futurephobic.” The track is off their upcoming album Data Doom set to be released on September 1st via The Reverberation Appreciation Society / Greenway Records. The mind-bending sci-dystopian music video captures the experimental artistry that has come to be associated with Frankie and the Witch Fingers.

The Swedish metal icons MESHUGGAH have announced their nineteen show US/Canadian tour with support from In Flames and Whitechapel. The last show of the tour will also include Voivod. The tour will be sponsored by Live Nation and will begin on November 21st in San Diego, California and end on December 16th in Laval, Quebec. These will be the first shows in five years that the band has played on Canadian soil. Tickets can be purchased now here.

Following the release of their EP “Stardust” back in 2021 and playing only a handful of shows the following year, including one where they opened up for Real Friends, the Brisbane-based alternative 5-piece Joy In Motion return with their first single in 2 years “Wasting Away”. “Wasting Away” marks a shift in their sound from a softer, melodic pop sound heard in their previous works “Stardust” and “Falling Out” to a more heavier and energetic return to their rock roots. With intensive guitar playing, hard hitting drumming, angry screaming and even a breakdown, “Wasting Away” gets loud and right in your face instantly dealing with toxic environments. The vengeful single also features the debut of Jackson Lehane as their second guitarist.

On July 20th L.S. Dunes made a stop at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA with support from pinkshift. The entire night was full of high energy and incredible music.

The Portland based indie pop-rock artist, Berkley, has released “Pueblo Nights”. The track is the first taste given of his upcoming debut album, Pueblo, which is set for release on September 1st via Secret Records. The song is full of straightforward and laidback pop grooves driven by electric guitar and keyboards, which is set at the perfect tempo for late night drives. It explores the memory and youth of his hometown of Pueblo, Colorado.
